You Have a Super Power

Natalie —  September 15, 2016 — 2 Comments

You are energy! You get to choose how to direct your energy. The focus of your energy creates and destroys based on your focus, all of the time.

Think of energy in the form of a waterfall. When a river drops over a cliff to lower ground, the water loses contact with earth and gains speed. Most of it stays together in a channel of energy moving in one direction. Some droplets of water separate into misty free-fall, no contact with the mass of the river. Bits of this mist will rejoin the main river. Others drops stay afloat on the wind to become a cloud, or they land on a leaf, rock, or dirt.

When your energy sticks together it gains power. Big shifts in your consciousness move like a waterfall carrying you with the momentum of a new belief. As your beliefs and focus shift, you create new experiences.

Like the mist, some parts of your energy can stay afloat while the majority of energy moves in a focused direction. The energy that lands in a new spot, changes form. It gives life to a plant. It is absorbed deep into the earth to join an underground aquifer, bubbling up to the surface somewhere new. Or may evaporate, to create a cloud that moves with the winds and falls as rain or snow back to the Earth. Far away from where it started. You water and grow new beliefs and experiences with your energy.

Water follows a path of least resistance. It gets to engage with the natural laws of gravity and the elements it encounters. Some surfaces are hard and resistant, while others are absorbent and receptive.

If your focus lands on a hard surface that is not receptive, it may feel like a lot of effort until you allow the response to redirect your energy to the flow. Re-direction is an opportunity to amplify your energy, moving in a direction that is receptive and true for you. Is the focus of your energy responding to the messages from the energy around you?. When your energy is aligned to your highest good, and not attached to changing what is not aligned in its path, it can shift to a new direction, amplify your power and keep you in the flow.

Stagnant water or energy allows dis-ease to grow. When you are stuck you are denying your power to choose. Even the belief that you do not have a choice is a choice. How much of what is possible are you allowing yourself to have?

Through your choices, you focus your energy. Your energy contributes to collective belief systems and creates reality for you and those who share it. Your focused energy is as powerful as a waterfall. Every drop of it is a choice. You create your life experiences with your beliefs and choices. You get to use your energy however you please. Energy is your Super Power!

I’ve been traveling in France, Monaco and Spain for two weeks. Immersed in culture with a history so much deeper than my homeland, generations layered upon generations of human experience, heightens my awareness of the foundation of humanity. From the back breaking labor spent cutting limestone and granite to build structures that would survive two thousand years, to the spiritual practices that evolved from pagan to Christian evoking intense dedication, sacrifice and mystic beliefs, to the age of farming for survival in this region that has evolved into primarily luxury crops of wine grapes, olives, truffles and lavender… the story that this land tells from being touched by human pain and love is powerful.

While taking in all of this ancient magic of past civilizations that has survived to this day, I have to wonder what inspired the intense devotion to constructing amphitheaters, aqueducts and cathedrals that would last for hundreds even thousands of years? I realize there was plenty of survival fear and slavery involved, but the belief system is what fascinates me.

We humans get so invested in belief systems that are limited by the perspective of our points of reference. Before the age of science, we attributed much of the natural events that caused us harm, to punishment from a higher power. The few in power found ways to take advantage of this fear and use it to direct the energy of the masses. And in the midst of the hard labor, there was the satisfaction individuals and communities felt from creating something of substance together, beginning a task only their great-great-grandchildren would see completed.

Today we still allow belief systems to alter our experience of the world. Our beliefs are so often unconscious and the most powerful one’s are the beliefs we have about our Self. Our beliefs limit or expand our opportunity to live fully. When I reflect on civilizations, I realize we are still living with many of the belief based limitations of what is possible for us based on our material circumstances.

The culture we live in, the community, our friends, what we see in the media, all influencing what we believe is possible and how we direct our energy. Part of the darkness of the old world was that those in power were able to get away with suppressing and directing the masses to join their cause through the periodic act of torture, punishment or utilizing a natural disaster to explain why the people were suffering. Using the belief system that those with different class status have different inherent value.

Now we have come to believe that terrorism is part of our reality and future. It limits our sense of freedom to travel and feel safe even in our own land. We have been conditioned to believe that there is no safe place as we’ve seen children killed at schools and innocents killed at movie theaters. And those who took the actions to cause this “terrorizing” are living with a belief system that most of us don’t understand. What I believe is that we can shift our experience by shifting our beliefs about what is possible for us and what our inherent value is.

Looking at the work of these ancient civilizations throughout Europe, I am reminded to keep questioning my beliefs. Specifically the assumptions that are unconscious beliefs and those influenced by exposure to information from those in positions of power who would like me to stay in a fear based belief in order to maintain a form of control over society.

How Creation Energy Works

There are many ways we contribute to the content of what is manifesting in our lives: thoughts, beliefs, emotions, actions, inaction, words spoken to others and requests to our higher power. With each of these we are adding possible outcomes to our future experience.  It is not the circumstances we are in so much as the beliefs, thoughts and feelings we have about them that affect our happiness.  We are much more powerful than we give ourselves credit for in the creation of our life.

Last spring I saw Esther Hicks speak in Colorado and I was reminded of a potent truth in the concepts presented through her channeling Abraham.  The law of attraction or manifestation, from the perspective of Spirit is uninhibited by the perceived limitations of the Physical. It is all about matching energetic vibrations.  Abraham calls it the Vortex, an energy space in the future that we are filling non-stop through our emotions both positive and negative.  The Vortex doesn’t have an opinion about what vibrations we put into it.  It is there, as I see it, like a master soup bowl that continues to simmer as we add ingredients simply by directing our energy.  The resulting flavor is a combination of all that has been added.  This perpetual pot of soup that sits on the stove of our lives continues to change form based on what we are adding to the pot.  On a bad day we might put in a heaping spoonful of doubt or fear, on a good day we might add clarity and love.  The next week, month or year, when we finally get around to tasting the concoction that has been brewing in our future, we may be appalled by it, “Hey Universe/God, this isn’t what I ordered!”  Unfortunately we did order it.  We just weren’t paying attention to how our thoughts, feelings, actions and words were contributing to our future dining experience.

This isn’t to suggest we should make matters worse with self-criticism or try to control the full spectrum of emotions.   The intent is to bring to consciousness our power to contribute to a more fulfilling, juicy meal.  One of those dining experiences that you hope will never end, where each bite is taken slowly with pleasure.  What hit home with me about the Abraham message, was that when we are in those moments of low biorhythm or in a state of negativity, we can stop adding ingredients to the soup by taking a break from thinking about what it is we “wish” were true and what we “want” in the future, instead just do life.  Wash the dishes, do the laundry, go grocery shopping, head to the gym and don’t engage in the creation process.  When we are in an unconstructive emotion it is easy to get caught up in the struggle around changing our experience and in doing so inadvertently add vibrations to our Vortex of future experiences that we don’t want, rather than those we desire.
