Archives For Law of Attraction

As we speed toward the end of 2016 it is important to remember to make time for self-care and intention setting. Make a list of self-care options. Add self-care to your daily to-do list. Put self-care on the top. Then make a wish list of what you want to feel daily or during experiences you have planned. Focus on the feeling and get specific. The list will help it manifest.

Making a list of what I want is one of my manifestation tricks. When I want to have a magical experience, such as preparing for my trip to California to give clairvoyant readings, I start with a wish list. For the trip earlier this month I made two lists. One was my list of what I could do for self-care while traveling and the other a list of what I wanted to experience on my trip.

After making the self-care list, I put it on a sticky note on the front page of my journal so the list was available to look at often with reminders of what I could do for self-care in-between clairvoyant readings. If you’re not traveling, put it on the fridge.

I’ve learned that the worse time to try to “figure out” what I need is when I’m feeling depleted. If I don’t give it a little advanced intention, I’ll waste downtime on phone apps or the internet, a form of ‘rest’ that doesn’t refuel me.

Similarly, the worst time to figure out what to eat is when I’m really hungry. Getting to the point of hunger means I’m not likely to make good choices. I’ll go for the easiest and least healthy option available. Looking for quick energy rather than nurturing fuel for my body.

One way to keep myself from making poor choices in self-care after a full day of psychic work is to have a list of reminders of what I can do to refuel. It’s like having a meal plan or healthy snacks available when I’m hungry. My list of self-care options while traveling:

  • Journal
  • Walk
  • Community Acupuncture
  • Get a Massage
  • Go to Yoga class
  • Be Creative

I could have added: enjoy live music, spend time with a friend, snuggle with my pup, have fresh flowers in my room, walk on the beach, all soul nurturing experiences I called upon during the trip.

The other list I made several weeks before my trip, was my wish list for manifestation while traveling. I asked the Universe, with clarity, for specific experiences to make the time feel great. I also set an intention for the number of appointments I wanted to fill for the trip.  The list was made before I knew the space where I would be staying, doing readings from or giving a talk in Napa, or what car I would be driving; my car didn’t feel reliable. I had a great space already arranged in San Francisco. My trip wish-list:

  • Dog friendly lodging
  • Clear psychic space to sleep
  • Free/low cost/trade lodging
  • Comfortable reading space (bring altar items, candle, sage)
  • Reliable comfortable car
  • Free space for evening talk to a broader audience than my clients
  • Courage to tell more of my story
  • Energy rejuvenating activities in-between sessions
  • Ample time, energy and self-care

The day before I left, I went car shopping and got an exceptional deal on the car I’d been dreaming about for months but never test driven. I picked it up the next day, swapped out all my stuff from my old car and drove off an hour later, headed to California. Yes, I had made a “mock-up” / wish-list for the car purchase to be easy, a fantastic price and a list of specific features I was looking for on my new car. Got it!

In Napa, I was offered a place to stay with a client who I had never met in-person. She also offered a room in her centrally located home for me to give readings and the talk. Wow! When I arrived, her dogs were the perfect playmates for my dog. The space was energetically clear. She and another client had invited friends to the talk so of the nine people in attendance only two of them had had readings from me before. My hostess even picked up a few appetizers and fresh flowers for the talk. So magical!

Living soulfully requires a certain concentration of energy and presence. To do it well and feel good you need to take extra care of your energy. Making a list works whether for self-care, fulfilling a dream or manifesting magical energy for practical things. It’s your call out to the Universe to be clear on what you need. A mock-up, intention setting or manifestation ritual.  Make a list. It works!

Manifest Your Dreams

Natalie —  April 6, 2016 — Leave a comment

When the sky goes dark, before the light of the moon starts to return again, new moon energy supports planting seeds for your dreams. What you focus on or envision at a new moon has more potency.  This month the new moon falls on April 7th.  Take time to consider with intention what dreams you would like to manifest in your life.

The exercise in my blog post last month set a strong foundation and prepared your creation space. Now you are ready to manifest your dreams. Remember: Foundation + Creation = Manifestation

Harness new moon energetic support and be intentional with your manifestation on the day of the new moon or day after. You may want to repeat the practices from last month’s blog post first or do them now if you haven’t yet.

Make a list of what you want to manifest in your life. With these intentions in mind, follow this simple mediation:

With your eyes closed, imagine that the base of your spine (root chakra) has an anchor connected to the center of the Earth. Just above this connection and below your belly button is your sacral chakra, it is where you hold creation energy. Say to your sacral chakra, out loud or in your thoughts, “thank you for everything you have helped me create and will help me create in my life.” Gratitude fuels positive creation.

Move up your body now to just above your belly button, this is your solar plexus chakra, where you hold your personal power, the “will” that gives you what is needed to manifest your creations in the world. Before you set your manifestation intention it helps to give your solar plexus a healing. It is your center of gravity, where you balance your body’s interaction with the world.

Over the course of life, you have had your energy whacked for showing your power. Whether it was at five years old by a controlling parent or recently by a co-worker uncomfortable with your attempt to manifest something new.  These whacks leave scars. They change your response to the world and get in the way of feeling permission to use your power to manifest.

Imagine you have a paint brush in your hand that has been dipped in gold. The gold has healing power. Use that paint brush to touch each scar or open wound on your belly. As you touch them with the paint brush they heal.

When your healing is complete, visualize a rose directly out in front of you. This rose is your manifestation tool.  You can imagine separate roses for each area where you have dreams to manifest such as financial ease, a relationship healing, a new home. Or you can use one rose for all of it. This is your life, so play with what works for you.

Remember the list of what you desire to manifest, drop words or images representing these dreams into the blossom of the rose. I like to be both specific and general, such as imagining a new home with a fireplace made of river rock, and add the feelings that I want to experience related to my home: peace, comfort, ease.

Fill the rose in your imagination up with the literal and feeling oriented values you hold for this manifestation. For example, if you ask for abundance, be specific that you want financial abundance/prosperity versus an abundance of bills. And include what you would like to feel as a result: I have enough, money comes ease, I have unlimited possibilities etc.

Once your manifestation rose is brilliantly shining with your dreams and desires, see a bubble around the rose blossom for protection. Then ask the Divine Mystery (God) to bless the manifestation. Imagine the stem of the rose being snipped to set it free and watch it float up into the sky to be manifest.

Keep your faith strong. Take any actions you need to support your intentions.  When you ask clearly and set your energy to match the vibration of the manifestation, the universe is free to support you! Blessings to you, as you manifest a life that is better than you ever imagined!

p.s. I note the new moons on my calendar for the year so I am reminded when reset my intentions. You may want to do this too. Click here for a calendar of new moon dates.

The two critical energetic steps to manifesting a positive new experience are:

  1. A Solid Foundation
  2. Clear Creation Energy

Think of it this way: Foundation + Creation = Manifestation If the foundation isn’t in place or the creation energy is muddled your manifestations don’t last or aren’t as great as they could be.

A strong foundation means you are grounded so you are stable as the change shifts your center of gravity. When the good comes you want to be able to enjoy it. The root chakra at the base of your spine is your energetic foundation. It is where you hold the energies of survival, safety and security.

To establish or reinforce your foundation, follow this simple meditation:

Visualize your root chakra connected to the Earth by seeing a beam of light or tree trunk attached to the base of your spine extended down into the center of the Earth. Set your intentions that this new grounded foundation is “in present time” by thinking of today’s date. Claim that this foundation is only for you. You ground for YOU, no one else (unless you have young children, it is important to ground for them too).

With your solid foundation in place, move up in the energetic body to just below your belly button. This is your sacral chakra where you hold creation and sexual energies. Clear creation energy is free from past limitations and the influences of others in your life. It is important to clean out your creative energy space so you don’t repeat undesirable experiences.

To clean out your creation space imagine you are holding a helium balloon on a string. The balloon’s job is to collect up all the energies you are cleaning out of your sacral chakra. Imagine these energies move out of the area of your body just below your belly button, like a wisp or silver strand they move into the balloon filling it up.

Here are some energies you may want to move out of your creation space and into the balloon:

  • Fear of failure
  • Need to control the creation/outcome
  • Other’s discomfort with your success, competition
  • Belief that only a certain range of possibilities are available
  • Grief from false starts, unfertilized seeds, miscarriages, unfulfilled dreams
  • Possessiveness, someone’s energy keeping you to themselves or possessing you sexually
  • Depression, hopelessness, discouragement
  • Blame, shame, anger, jealousy
  • Attachment to the form the creation needs to take
  • Energy whacks/wounds from your past attempts to create or to your sexual energy
  • Unworthiness, the lie that you don’t deserve to manifest or can’t because of x y z…
  • Fear of success, resistance, suppression of your ability to have what you want
  • Other’s attention on your creation. It doesn’t matter if it’s curiosity, poor boundaries or mal intent, move it out, it is in your way.
  • Rigidity, feeling stuck, stagnancy

Now that you’ve cleaned ALL that unwanted energy out you may have a bouquet of balloons! Thank them for their assistance and let the strings go. Watch the balloons floating up into the sky, higher and higher until they disappear.

For extra credit, imagine filling your sacral chakra with energies you would like to experience in your creative space such as ease, inspiration, unlimited possibilities, sensuality or whatever you like.

With your solid foundation and vibrant creation space you are empowered for brilliant manifestation. I’ll dive into manifestation in my next blog post.

Remember: Foundation + Creation = Manifestation!

There is subtleness in how we wait for things in our lives. We imagine one thing needs to happen before the next can occur, believing life experiences naturally come in a certain order, so we wait. This needs to happen before that.  We need to have a certain amount of money, a relationship, a certain type of job or children out of the house, to create our dream.

I have a picture of myself living in a home I’ve designed and built with a partner in the countryside. With creek that runs through it, trees, and of course a beautiful view that makes us take a deep breath every time we look out the window. I had been waiting for someone to co-create this vision with but waiting was attracting more waiting.  I wasn’t creating my heart’s desire and it was impacting every day of my life.

Sometimes we are so close to our own view of the world that we can’t see where it’s holding us back. It hadn’t dawned on me that in waiting for a partner to have this life in the countryside I was denying myself happiness.  I finally was able to see that I was waiting in a way that had me stuck and attracting more waiting.

I’ve felt the call for several years now to leave the city and live closer to nature. Having grown up in the country and a small town, I never really saw myself as a city person when I moved to Denver 23 years ago. I got used to it and even enjoy it a lot. Still I’ve always known that my proverbial cup is filled by being in nature and as it stands now it’s somewhere I have to go to rather than the place where live.

A story I’ve been telling myself and others for years, is that I want to live the summer months in Oregon on or near my family’s ranch, and be in Colorado for the rest of the year.  The catch was that my “picture” of this life required a partner.  I am single, and waiting for the partner who wanted this life and could have it had been blocking me from creating the life I really want.

Last week I asked management at my technology job if I could live and work from Oregon for 3-4 months this summer. He said, “No problem. I don’t care where you work from. You work from home as it is.” While I work from home, I travel a lot for that job and moving will impact the distance/cost of my travel for work.  Having received this “Yes” I feel excited and surprised at the courage I see is needed to take this step.

As the reality of this creation set-in, I began to feel a new sense of freedom. I have stopped waiting for things to look a certain way and am creating what I want in my life. There’s not a story but a real experience I’m participating in.

The law of attraction is at work.  Because I had been waiting rather than creating, I was attracting more opportunities to wait rather than create and felt stuck in past creations that were great but I’d outgrown. Now that I’ve said yes to creating this vision, synchronicities continue to show up to support it coming to fruition.

What are you waiting for? Start creating and see what shows up to support your creation!

The Sizzle vs the Steak

Natalie —  March 25, 2014 — 1 Comment

I was talking to my brother recently about how much energy can be spent on possibilities that never come to fruition. He used a phrase that hit home when he said, “I don’t want to waste my time being sold on the sizzle. I want to be eating the steak.” Meaning, I want to spend my energy on what is real in the present, rather than chasing a future promise.

We’ve been sold on the sizzle of having our life purpose magically bestowed on us before birth. Once we figure out what our purpose is life will be a breeze.  But there’s a catch, we have to figure it out or we’ve failed.

This looks so easy for those in the limelight (athletes, actors, musicians, politicians). We’ve given them the power of our interest because they seem to have figured out their life purpose, as they are succeeding in making money doing what they enjoy, or so it seems.  Yet we also love to watch their failures to reassure ourselves that even the famous aren’t perfect and have to suffer.

The truth is that we get to choose our purpose (the steak). It’s not pre-destined.  When we struggle to “figure it out,” it’s because we believe the lie of the sizzle. We are looking for an answer outside of our Self. Seeking a sense of fulfillment from a source out in the future depletes our energy. The analytical-mind has kicked-in to drive us to find an answer when we need to be listening to our intuitive-mind for guidance.

The analytical-mind references past information and data to help us make decisions. Our intuitive-mind allows us to read the present and see what we are a “yes” to or a “no” to.  Our intuitive mind has access to our entire Being’s wisdom and assists us in recognizing the steak versus chasing the sizzle.

We’ve often defined purpose as having a passion for something.  For me writing is a passion, it gives my life meaning and yet it’s not my career nor is it my only pleasure. In fact, often I find it hard to write, to find the words to express what I feel inside that I want to share with others.  But once I do, it is such a wonderful sensation of alignment with my Self.  The dance between me and words is not a handshake that results in a book deal and assignment to complete a task that I get paid for, defining some measure of success. It’s a bridge that connects the islands of my heart, head, body and soul; then extends that connection to invite others to self-reflect or gain a deeper understanding.

I used to hold tight to words that I’d written, if they didn’t fit in the piece I was crafting, I felt I needed to save them for later lest I not be able to create them again. Now I take pleasure in deleting a sentence that doesn’t work. I trust that I’ll find a new way to express the sentiment in the right context when the time comes. I’m not hanging on to the sizzle of possibility but taking a bite out of the steak in front of me. Saying what needs to be said right now!

Creating anything in our life requires taking steps that are not an end in and of them self.  Maybe that seems like chasing the sizzle, but when we are truly present for the moment rather than putting our energy out in the future, we are eating the steak every day while we create our lives.

What do you desire?  I desire to feel adored, to feel blessed and to be surprised with luscious new experiences. I desire to feel respected, supported by the Universe and the people in all areas of my life. I desire to give and receive full heartedly.

I desire to step forward, showing up in my life aligned: heart, mind and actions. I desire to be in constant receptivity with the Divine energy source, empowered and able to share it with the world without feeling depleted.  Source is infinite. I desire to feel prosperous beyond compare (pinch me my life is magnificent). I desire to feel a bubbling over of that sense that, “I fucking love my life!!!!”

I desire to feel the pleasure of being touched, feel safe, respected and desired. I desire companionship for walking, dinner, live music, snowboarding, conversations, exploration, play, creative inspiration, home projects and spiritual expansiveness.  I desire to have enough quiet “Natalie time” to listen to my inner-voice deeply and fill my cup with consciousness.

I desire to feel without reservation, whether it be sadness or joy. I desire to be inspired and create beauty around me and within me. I desire to feel physically healthy, balanced, energized, nurtured and strong. I desire to feel emotionally stable, surrendered and allow what I feel to be expressed with ease and acceptance.

I invite you to allow yourself to know your desires, how they feel rather than attachment to the form they take. It is a true invitation for the Universe to amaze you with what shows up!

In the morning I remember, by the afternoon I’ve forgotten, in the evening I remember again.  How many times I can remember and forget the same spiritual lesson?  It helps to have a good sense of humor about it.  Spiritual lessons are generally simple yet profound. We “get it” in an Aha! moment of recognition and breathe a sigh of relief in the awareness.  Suddenly we feel unstuck, clarity or an opening to new possibility.

When we learn a new spiritual lesson, it often feels like we are remembering something we’ve long forgotten because we are.  We are tapping into a universal truth that puts our earthly interpretation of life experiences in a healthier perspective. But it is easy to forget what we know when we get pulled into the prevailing energies operating around us, from demands at work or home, to our own impatience or fears of what might happen.

A coworker at my technology job is spiraling into worry, fear, and what-if scenarios during a phone call and it tosses the rest of my day out of alignment. Instead of feeling proactive and peaceful as I go through my work day I feel off-center and behind. Not even aware of what hit me.  A client calls with an “I need it now” demand and I forget to put it in perspective with the rest of my responsibilities. Only to find myself stressed out and behind trying to keep up with my prior commitments and complete the new request. I started the day out remembering and forgot. It takes a disruptive activity to remind me again such as a phone call from a friend or stepping outside to get lunch.

One of my spiritual lessons is “what is meant to be will be” or the Divine Plan is at work regardless of how it appears to me. It doesn’t mean I like it. I may feel sad, disappointed, disheartened or betrayed by God, confused, even angry. It is hardest to accept when what occurs feels like a loss. The unexpected death of a loved one, failure at something I’ve been working extremely diligently to accomplish, or struggling with something that seemed easy many times in the past. When we try every avenue only to have each lead to a dead-end, the Divine is sending us a message.  Our path is elsewhere.

Another personal spiritual lesson that I frequently forget and remember is regarding manifesting what I desire.  When I ask for something, if I can let go of how it arrives, (the timing and what form it takes) I’m more likely to notice when the prayer is answered. Demanding a certain form causes us to miss out on so many opportunities.  It’s in a sense trying to control the choices of others and the Divine. When we set an intention with control energy, such as “please help my current job give me a more flexible schedule, better pay, a boss who I feel is a mentor,” we are failing to allow flexibility in how it arrives. The job that offers these things may not be our current job but a new job that is more aligned with the request. When that other job shows up, we ignore the offer because we are stuck wanting our current job to change and match our desire.

The primary energies I’ve noticed get in the way of remembering my spiritual truths when I need them most are the fears and expectations of others.  Taking 10 minutes to get grounded and set my energy with a short meditation in the morning improves my odds of staying centered in the midst of all the energies that flow through my life in a day.  Meditation tools can be applied liberally here to re-center after we get thrown off, but that’s presuming we remember when it happens!

I’ve been traveling in France, Monaco and Spain for two weeks. Immersed in culture with a history so much deeper than my homeland, generations layered upon generations of human experience, heightens my awareness of the foundation of humanity. From the back breaking labor spent cutting limestone and granite to build structures that would survive two thousand years, to the spiritual practices that evolved from pagan to Christian evoking intense dedication, sacrifice and mystic beliefs, to the age of farming for survival in this region that has evolved into primarily luxury crops of wine grapes, olives, truffles and lavender… the story that this land tells from being touched by human pain and love is powerful.

While taking in all of this ancient magic of past civilizations that has survived to this day, I have to wonder what inspired the intense devotion to constructing amphitheaters, aqueducts and cathedrals that would last for hundreds even thousands of years? I realize there was plenty of survival fear and slavery involved, but the belief system is what fascinates me.

We humans get so invested in belief systems that are limited by the perspective of our points of reference. Before the age of science, we attributed much of the natural events that caused us harm, to punishment from a higher power. The few in power found ways to take advantage of this fear and use it to direct the energy of the masses. And in the midst of the hard labor, there was the satisfaction individuals and communities felt from creating something of substance together, beginning a task only their great-great-grandchildren would see completed.

Today we still allow belief systems to alter our experience of the world. Our beliefs are so often unconscious and the most powerful one’s are the beliefs we have about our Self. Our beliefs limit or expand our opportunity to live fully. When I reflect on civilizations, I realize we are still living with many of the belief based limitations of what is possible for us based on our material circumstances.

The culture we live in, the community, our friends, what we see in the media, all influencing what we believe is possible and how we direct our energy. Part of the darkness of the old world was that those in power were able to get away with suppressing and directing the masses to join their cause through the periodic act of torture, punishment or utilizing a natural disaster to explain why the people were suffering. Using the belief system that those with different class status have different inherent value.

Now we have come to believe that terrorism is part of our reality and future. It limits our sense of freedom to travel and feel safe even in our own land. We have been conditioned to believe that there is no safe place as we’ve seen children killed at schools and innocents killed at movie theaters. And those who took the actions to cause this “terrorizing” are living with a belief system that most of us don’t understand. What I believe is that we can shift our experience by shifting our beliefs about what is possible for us and what our inherent value is.

Looking at the work of these ancient civilizations throughout Europe, I am reminded to keep questioning my beliefs. Specifically the assumptions that are unconscious beliefs and those influenced by exposure to information from those in positions of power who would like me to stay in a fear based belief in order to maintain a form of control over society.

Mystery is awesome.  It contains the seed of life!  The power of the unknown gifts us joyful surprise, anticipation and passion, if we allow it.  Most often we contract in the face of the unknown.  Our body tenses up for fear of being out of control, the uncertainties of no guaranteed outcome, the fear of disappointment.  But if we relax into trust, our very being is able to flow with the mystery and we heighten our capacity to receive, our experience of excitement, celebration and noticing life’s miracles.

Every moment we are in the process of creation.  We are creating our lives through our thoughts, actions and unconscious beliefs.  To create with the most power we must surrender to the mystery, let go of the specific form our creation is required to take in order to please us.  In our society outcomes are often forced to meet a specific agenda, scheduled, pre-selected in detail, like a travel itinerary. But when we allow room for the mystery, the outcome while unpredictable has more juice and life to it. Magic happens!

At the New Year most of us reflect on what we have accomplished in the past year and identify what we would like to experience in the coming year.  How do we come to a strong inner-knowing that our intentions, the visions of what we want to create in our life, are coming to us?

To clear the path for this level of trust, I find myself navigating a cacophony of thoughts and feelings.  Observing what is supporting or in the way of my freedom to receive.  Where I am judging others and myself?  Where I am giving away my power?  Where I am withholding from myself or choosing fantasy over the truth of what is? Where I am failing to see the vastness of options before me because my sight is focused on what I lack rather than what I have?  Where I am allowing the wants, needs and demands of others to override my wants, needs and self-care?

Where I am in avoidance of my feelings because noticing them doesn’t feel good?  Where do I choose to check-out rather than check-in with myself?  Where do I see not getting what my heart desires as some failure on my part?  Where am I at peace and where am I unsettled?  Where am I in resistance to things that are good for me?  Where do I fail to surrender because I want it my way?!? Where do I feel angry at another or judge them without acknowledging my anger at myself and self-judgment?  Where is it I crave escape and allow it to dominate my free time?

Where do I try and fail and try and succeed and keep pushing my edge to expand past the discomfort?  Where do I have courage without noticing it and fearlessly press into the vast unknown? Where do I take risks and feel empowered?  Where do I light a fire to transform energy, warm the hearth, or light the path?  Where do I see the non-physical universe and witness another soul’s journey?  Where do I connect with another?  Where do I wake up and realize I was never sleeping?  Where do I feel alive?

These questions are meant to shed away the layers between my expectations and the fruition of my desires. I trust that my visions will manifest in my life. Why?  I have seen it happen countless times.  I feel them coming.  I feel the joy and it feels as if they are already the truth of my experience even though they haven’t yet taken physical form.  I don’t know what form they will arrive in or when. That’s the mystery.  Yet I trust their arrival, as reliable as the seasons change.  The more I take actions to show the universe my intent, that I’m willing to receive with full surrender.  The more my experiences are better than I ever would have imagined.

What would it take for you to feel satisfied with your life? Fulfilled, as if everything that was happening was as you desired?  A different job, a new or changed relationship, different living arrangement, better health, more money, a vacation, closer friendships, less work, time to follow your creative passion?  The aspects of our lives that we feel at peace with don’t have to be perfect, but flow with ease. We don’t dwell on them, because for the most part we are getting what we want.

The areas of our life that aren’t fulfilling our needs are what we struggle with and notice.  They translate to the false belief that something outside of us needs to change in order for us to feel at peace.  When we believe this, we are giving our power away.  There is an energy drain precipitated by cycles of thought, feeling and behavior that reinforce staying unsatisfied.

I think of Homer Simpson holding onto the soda can he’s been trying to steal from a vending machine, while emergency workers go to great lengths to try to extract his arm.  We hold onto a certain vision of what we need to feel satisfied in a job, lover, etc.  When Homer finally realizes, he doesn’t want the soda bad enough to give up other things in his life, he let’s go of the can and pulls his arm out of the machine. He’d created his own experience of being stuck in the machine by holding on to something that wasn’t designed to be his, at least not without him being in alignment with the system that would allow it to be his.

Everything we experience is designed to show us where we are in alignment or not.  If we are attached to specific circumstances we “must have” to feel happy, a deeper look inside our Self will reveal what is out of alignment in our life, the misalignment creating a sense of lack.  Are we making a decision based on financial fear to work too much or at a job we don’t like which limits our time and energy to create in other areas?  Are we using busyness or addictions as a form of avoidance, so we won’t have to address the relationships in our life that are uncomfortable?  Are we blaming work or a relationship for our suffering and disappointment?  As long as we hold on to the belief that our happiness is contingent upon someone or something changing we will be unfulfilled and not find inner-peace.

Try this simple meditation to assist in creating a sense of peace in an area where you feel dissatisfied.

  • Begin in a simple silent meditation state (see my post a Meditative Path to Clarity).
  • Visualize a bubble floating in front of you to represent the area in your life where you feel dissatisfied unfulfilled or stuck.
  • See a rose outside of that bubble, like a magic wand, it is there to draw out any energy from that bubble that is negative or fear based.
  • Watch as energies such as control, punishment, anger, anxiety, disappointment, fear, guilt, and shame move out of the bubble into the rose.
  • Once the bubble is free of these blocks, send the rose to a faraway place in your mind’s eye and let it dissolve with the intention that it causes no harm.
  • Now imaging a golden ball of light hovering above the bubble that represents the area of your focus for the mediation.  Fill that ball of light with all of the positive vibrations (emotional energies) you would like to experience in this area of your life, such as: ease, grace, pleasure, fulfillment, joy, inspiration, flow, playfulness, support.
  • When the golden ball of light is full of good vibrations drop it into your bubble and see them become one.

You have shifted the focus in this area of your life from disappointment and lack to ease and flow with your intentions.  Our habits pull us quickly back into old thought patterns, so revisit this visualization as often as you find necessary.

Personally, I find it a very challenging practice to let go of certain desires happening in the timeframe that I want.  But whenever I hold onto the yearning for a different experience than “what is” I am less satisfied with my life.  This doesn’t mean that I give up on my hearts desires and dreams.  What it does mean is that I acknowledge that what I am experiencing right now is exactly as it should be.  As difficult as it may feel, I trust that what I am experiencing is the universe speaking to me, to show me how I can get into greater alignment with myself.
